LASD Inmate Locator
The City of San Dimas contracts with the Los Angeles County Sheriff Station to police the city, as well as the unincorporated areas that surround it. The facility itself is small, but it can get pretty busy. When the on-site jail becomes overcrowded, inmates are usually transferred to a larger facility in downtown Los Angeles.
Men are taken to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while females are transferred to the Lynwood Jail.
While it’s possible to bail someone out from all three locations, it’s usually fastest to bail an inmate out directly from the San Dimas Sheriff Station. When inmates are transferred, they will be waiting in line to be processed in at some of the busiest jails in the world; often adding an additional 24 hours to their time in custody.
Why Bail Someone Out of Jail?
When someone is arrested and taken into custody, it is nearly impossible to handle their affairs on the outside. Missing time from work can lead to being fired, missing school can lead to failed classes, and the inability to take care of family obligations can have make things extremely difficult. When you bail someone out, it allows him or her the ability to continue with their daily life until they go to court. If the individual is expecting to spend time in custody after their court date, he or she can make arrangements with their job, landlord, school, etc. and possibly avoid some of the negative fallout that often comes with being incarcerated.
