So Santa Claritans, Halloween weekend begins this Friday October, 31st. What do you plan to do? By now, you’re probably aware of the many, many events and festivities being held all across Los Angeles County, but did you know that there are a number of Halloween events in Santa Clarita planned for this weekend?
- Fright Fest at Magic Mountain is an annual staple for us here in SCV. For those who have never been, Fright Fest this year will provide guests with 8 haunted mazes, roaming zombies hungry for brains, Halloween-themed shows and “Xtreme Rides” in the dark.
While Fright Fest is centered around Halloween, remember that in the interest of safety, masks and costumes are not allowed to be worn by guests in the park. There will also be daylight activities planned for the kids.
- Heritage Haunt at Heritage Junction, Wm. S. Hart Park. (As quoted from the Santa Clarita Guide), “Experience for yourself what the folks with the Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures discovered at Heritage Junction! It is said that an experienced team of paranormal investigators captured what appeared to them to be a real haunting. This year it is recreated as groups of ten at a time will be taken through many of the locations in the Junction. General admission is $25 per adult, discounts for students, active duty military and seniors. Bring 2 Cans of Food for SCV Food Pantry and get $3 off admission!”

Speaking of little boiyls and ghouls, they’re going to be out in full costume beginning the early hours this Friday. Remember that, while it’s highly advised that kids wear costumes that can easily be seen – some will not. That means that drivers will have to take extra care when navigating residential areas, especially after dark. Also, for you adults, if you plan to consume alcohol this weekend, make sure that you’ve got a safe ride home. As with every holiday, the CHP, LASD and LAPD will be keeping an especially vigilant eye open for anyone exhibiting signs of driving while intoxicated. You can always call Designated Drivers of Santa Clarita at 661-313-8336. They’ll get you and your car safely home if you live anywhere in the SCV for just $20 bucks! Now that’s a deal any way you look at it. With all of that being said, have a safe and happy Halloween from everyone here at SCV Bail Bonds!
