Indemnitor Responsibility

Please be aware that there are responsibilities that come along with signing a bail bond application. There are legal contracts involved when you become the defendant’s signer or “indemnitor.”

If the  defendant doesn’t make his/her court date, the bail bond can be revoked and the defendant may be returned to jail.

Additionally, any collateral that was paid by the indemnitor will be gone for good if the defendant cannot be located. Fortunately, this doesn’t happen very often because if someone innocently missed their court appearance, we can easily correct this with one simple phone call to our company. We can always explain the details of the bail bond process at Men’s Central Jail, so you always know what to expect, prior to signing any paperwork.
