On a Tuesday night this past October, in an unincorporated portion of the Santa Clarita Valley, a woman was kidnapped from her car in a parking lot.
Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station deputies received a report from one of the victim’s loved ones and immediately made contact with the victim’s family to investigate the kidnapping.
According to reports, the victim’s last known location was in the Sunland area and deputies began their investigation there after notifying the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The suspect approached the victim in the parking lot and ordered her to sit in the passenger seat of her car. Fearing for her life, the victim complied. After that, the kidnapper got in the driver’s seat and took off.
The victim was assaulted by the kidnapper when she tried to use her cell phone to call for help, and had her cell phone confiscated afterwards. The suspect drove until the vehicle ran out of gas, and fled the scene thereafter.
A few hours later, the victim was located in the Sunland area and was returned unharmed to her worried loved ones.
The suspect’s name is not being released, pending further investigation, however it has been stated that it is an ex-boyfriend of the victim.
