LASD Inmate Locator
Circle J Ranch is patrolled by the deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff station. When arrested, individuals will be taken to the sheriff station to undergo booking and processing. That’s the procedure in which their fingerprints are recorded, photograph is taken and a national background check is conducted. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to be released via bail bond.
The jail located at the SCV Sheriff station is pretty small and only designed to house inmates for up to 72-hours. So, if a bail bond is not obtained before that period of time passes, it is possible that the inmate will be transferred to one of the larger holding facilities downtown.
Men are sent to Twin Towers and women are transferred to the Lynwood Jail. When transfer occurs, the inmate can expect to spend at least an additional 24-hours in custody as they go through another booking process at the new location. If the bail bond process is started quickly enough, though, it’s possible to avoid transfer altogether.
Bail Bond Process
Once bail has been set for an inmate, it will be possible to have them freed via bail bond. To begin, give us a call and provide the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the inmate in custody. If you don’t have all of this information immediately available, that’s ok! We can still help you out. We will use the information you provide to locate the inmate within the system and verify their eligibility for bail.
Once that’s been established, we will need you to fill out the bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Lastly, we dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.
We’re committed to your comfort and convenience throughout this entire ordeal, and if you are unable to meet with us in person, we are more than happy to handle the entire bail bond application process over the phone and through fax or email. What works best for you will work best for us.
What is an Indemnitor?
An indemnitor is the person who signs the bail bond. When you bail someone out of jail, they still have to show up for court and it is the person who signs the bail bond that will be held responsible if the inmate does not do so. As such, it is highly advisable that you only bail out those whom you know and trust.
Once their case has been completed, and the judge signs off on it, the bail bond will be exonerated and the signer will not be held responsible any further.
The Cost of a Bail Bond
In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.
Financing Available
Finding out a friend or loved one has been arrested often comes as a surprise, and not everyone is always able to get 10% of the bail amount together right away. As such, we offer a variety of flexible payment plans that are designed to fit most any budget. When you choose to finance your bail bond, know that you will not be charged any additional interest or fees.
