Santa Clarita Jail Inmate Finder
When someone is arrested in Lake Elizabeth, they are taken to the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station where they undergo the booking and processing procedure. The process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, and once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible. The on-site jail at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station is small, and only designed for the short-term housing of about 40 inmates. If the jail becomes overcrowded, or if an inmate remains at the jail for longer than 72-hours, it is likely that they will be transferred to one of the larger holding facilities in downtown Los Angeles. Men are transferred to Twin Towers Jail while women are sent to the Lynwood Jail.
The transfer process can take up to 24 hours to complete, during which time the inmate will be unable to be bailed out. If the bail bond process is begun quickly, while they are still located at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station, it is possible to avoid transfer altogether.
The Bail Bond Process
The Lake Elizabeth bail bond process begins by giving us a call and providing us with some general information about the person you want to bail out. We’ll use that info to locate them within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. Once that’s been established, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we send an agent to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released once they are processed out.
If you’re unable to meet with us in person, we’re fully-equipped to handle the entire bail bond process via phone, fax or email.
The Cost of a Bail Bond
In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.
Payment Options
We accept a variety of payment options, including major debit/credit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover) as well as cash, business or personal checks, money orders, bank account transfers and money wire. For those who are interested in financing the cost of a bail bond, we have a variety of flexible payment plans designed to fit most any budget.
