West San Fernando Valley Inmate Information
Those who are arrested in Reseda or the West San Fernando Valley are taken to the West Valley Community Police Station Jail.
Here, arrestees are taken for booking and processing and held until their arraignment, after which, should they still be in custody, they are remanded to the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and could end up at a Los Angeles County Jail such as Twin Towers for men or Lynwood for women.
The bail process can take as long as 24 hours if the defendant is transferred to one of the larger County jails, so we always recommend bailing them out while they are still at the smaller station jail, for a much faster release.
The communities serviced by the West Valley Community Police Station are: Mandeville Canyon, Reseda, Encino, Canoga Park, Northridge, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, West Hills and Warner Center.
Bail Bond Costs
In California, the cost of a bail bond is set at 10% of the total bail amount. So, if the total amount of bail is $15,000, then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,500.
There is a way however, to get a lower bond rate of 8% for those who qualify. Qualification parameters include: active Union Members, active Military Personnel, AARP Members, or those who are represented by an attorney. SCV Bail Bonds will gladly honor the lower bail rate for these individuals.
