In California, allegations of domestic violence are one of the most common occurrences to which authorities respond. Those convicted, depending on the severity of the injuries inflicted (if any), and the circumstances of the particular case, often end up having to go through a domestic batterer’s class and it’s not uncommon to face jail time as well.
