
According to reports, the incident occurred in October of 2012 and involved Flav chasing his girlfriend’s son around the house with a kitchen knife while threatening to kill him, and then stabbing said knife through the door of a bedroom. Flav’s attorney, Kristina Wildveld, told reporters that the family has been in counseling for a year, and have reconciled. Flavor Flav himself is quoted to have said on the issue “
Had Flavor Flav not plead guilty to domestic violence charges, he would have gone on trial for child endangerment, and faced a possibility of 12 years behind bars in state prison. Since he chose to plead guilty to lesser charges, Flav is facing a maximum of 1 year in county jail should he violate the terms of his agreement.
Flav’s last court date is scheduled for August 18th in Las Vegas.
